Family 6 Feast: the Sunday-gathering spread.
Some meals are dinner. This one is an event. The Family 6 Feast takes everything in our Family 4 and scales it up for six, then adds the dish Congolese guests grew up with: fumbwa with fufu.

A large ntaba board: charcoal-grilled goat chunks with a deep smoky char, raw onion rings and fiery crushed pili-pili

Poulet-mayo: grilled chicken legs and thighs brushed with our house tomato-pepper sauce

A big bowl of Jollof rice: fluffy long-grain rice simmered with tomato and peppers until deep red-orange

Two chikwangue (kwanga): traditional cassava bread served on fresh banana leaves

Fumbwa: a thick, rich stew of ground cassava leaves and peanuts, hearty and full-bodied, never soupy, with soft white fufu balls served on their own plate for scooping, exactly as it should be

Madesu: red kidney beans simmered in tomato sauce
